My new summer fragrance
Purchased during the latest optimum points blitz at Shoppers, I received 18,600 points for purchasing this with my Optimum card!
It’s a great summer scent, however, beware if you are in a scent free environment as the hand lotion packs a punch. It is light but not quite as subtle as D&G’s Light Blue.
I just love the way Michelle Obama is wearing her blue dress. The colour is professional, inviting and calming all at the same time.
My amazing big sister was kind enough to give me the blue dress and lace camisole shown on my Judy and it is truly one of my absolute favourites!
I may not be able to rock the hot mama number that Michelle Obama and Charlize Theron are wearing to my office, but I do love my snake skin shirt…often paired with my snake skin skinny belt from Club Monaco.
Is animal print work appropriate…ever…I think so?!?
Anna Mattiuzzo of Melanie Lyne/Laura Canada comments on this very question for CIWTTW! Check out the Comment section of this post (top right corner) for more fashion tips on how to wear print to work!
This lovely deep watermelon double mesh dress
(Yes, I said double mesh…as in two layers of mesh material is all this gorgeous dress is made out of)
was a total steal at Femme d’Carrier with the 50% off everything in the store SALE!
And YES I can wear that to work…it’s light, comfortable and very wearable for the office.
Also available in Black, but they’re moving fast.
Who doesn’t like a woman in red. As for work, this is definitely a more casual Friday or office event type of situation where the dress code calls for dressy casual.
BTW: I do believe that the phrase “dressy casual” gets women into hot water at work as it has no clear definition and the concern is always that you are either under or over dressed. In my view I would much rather be over dressed than under.
Does anyone else struggle with a “dressy casual” dress code at their office?
Colour is great, but nothing beats a classic black and white look in a light comfortable fabric. This top was an absolute steal at the Mendocino for $25.00.
My only advice for shopping at Mendo during their big sale…don’t shy away from the big rack of clothes you might find a gem!
It does cut a little low, therefore I pair it with a black tank and a pencil skirt and blazer…
This outfit is great for beating the heat and still looking professional.
Light fabrics are great in the summer there is nothing worse than sweatin’ in your dress shirt when it’s 35 degrees and the humidity is making Toronto feel more like 45!
